In the run-up to the 2020 parliamentary elections, AVAJA as a civil movement sent invitations for public confrontation / discussion with the list holders, Roma candidates, but also with the presidents of the two largest political parties, SDSM and VMRO DPMNE. Zoran Zaev, leader of the We Can Coalition, responded to the invitation for discussion at the central hearing, while Hristijan Mickovski could not attend due to the busy agenda.At the central discussion with Zaev, a topic related to the Parliamentary elections and the efforts to improve the situation of the Roma was discussed. During the discussion, four key topics were covered - vision for the Roma community in the next 4 years, equitable representation, employment of Roma in the private sector and infrastructure and investment budget to improve the position of the Roma people.
